Rainbow Childcare of Monroe INC is licensed by the State of Wisconsin for almost 200 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. All Rainbow staff are trained in Early Childhood Education, CPR and first aid, and other related trainings in order to provide a safe. caring, and friendly environment for children.

Our Story
Formerly known as Monroe Community Childcare INC, Rainbow Childcare has been serving the community for almost 50 years. In 1998, with the help of donations from the community, Rainbow was able to move into its current location, licensed for 148 children. Held in a variety of locations over the years, Rainbow also opened a school-age program in Parkside Elementary School, this location is licensed for 50 children.

Mission
Rainbow Childcare, Inc. (RCC) is a not-for-profit child care agency committed to providing quality, affordable, learning-oriented child care to the greater Green County community. We serve the children enrolled at RCC and their families as well as businesses in the community and the community at large. We provide care to children ages six weeks to thirteen years old without discrimination based on gender, religion, race, ethnic origin, nationality, or creed. We operate above the standards set by the State of Wisconsin for child care agencies and constantly strive to achieve an ever-increasing level of quality. We recognize each child as a member of a distinct family unit and look for opportunities to enhance family relationships and for services that will benefit both the child and the family. We value and encourage parental involvement at all levels of the organization. We believe that access to quality child care plays an important role in the success of the greater Green County workforce. We look for ways to raise the child care consciousness of our community by emphasizing the value and socio-economic necessity of quality child care. We periodically assess the child care needs of area residents and businesses and strive to meet those needs whenever possible. We recognize that the success of the staff of RCC is essential to the success of the organization as a whole. We seek out and employ the most educated and qualified teachers available and provide a professional work environment and competitive wages. We earn sufficient funds to meet operating expenses, maintain sound facilities, and to allow continued growth in programs and services. We recognize the need for affordable child care and carefully evaluate programs and services that may impact tuition rates. We seek alternative sources of funds whenever possible to achieve the purposes of the organization. Through sound management practices and our love for children we strive to maintain an interactive, synergistic environment that fosters growth in all those we serve.
